O Christ, He is the fountain

Praise of the Lord Satisfaction with Him

1
O Christ, He is the fountain,
The deep, sweet well of life:
Its living streams I’ve tasted
Which save from grief and strife.
And to an ocean fullness,
His mercy doth expand;
His grace is all-sufficient
As by His wisdom planned.
2
O I am my Beloved’s,
And my Beloved’s mine;
He brings a poor vile sinner
Into His house of wine!
I stand upon His merit;
I know no other stand.
I’m hidden in His presence
And held by His own hand.
3
The Bride eyes not her garment,
But her dear Bridegroom’s face;
I will not gaze at glory,
But on my King of grace:
Not at the crown He giveth,
But on His pierced hand;
The Lamb is all the glory,
And my eternal stand!

And to and ocean fulness, His mercy does expand. His grace is all-sufficient, as by His wisdom planned!

I’m so happy and thankful to enjoy this ocean of mercy and all-sufficient grace in the Body today. I am enjoying and experiencing today the riches of His wisdom by pursuing to know Him and love Him in Body.

Thank you Peter from Reading. I love this hymn from my childhood at the Nairobi Chapel Kenya. Today I’m sending it to a dear friend for her 90th birthday, because I felt the Spirit remind me of its words, especially the line ‘the streams on earth I’ve tasted; more deep I’ll drink above. ’ A little different from the words shown above.
