Praise Him! praise Him! Christ is Victor

Praise of the Lord His Victory

English124
1
Praise Him! praise Him! Christ is Victor!
He has won the victory!
Sin is judged, old Adam finished,
Full redemption now we see!
Vanquished all the evil powers
Thru the Cross triumphantly!
2
Praise Him! Christ is resurrected!
God hath raised Him from the dead!
All the pow’r of death is swallowed,
Man from death to life is led!
Broken through are hell and darkness
And His pow’r exhibited!
3
Praise Him! Christ hath now ascended!
God hath raised Him to the throne!
Far above all rule and power,
He the highest Name doth own!
All authority receiving
Till His foe is overthrown!
4
Hallelujah, Christ the Victor
Triumphed on Mt. Calvary!
Hallelujah, resurrected,
He displays His victory!
Hallelujah, now ascended,
He shall reign eternally!

Praise the Lord old Adam is finished! Christ has won the victory! This is the battle within us. It is not outward. The real battle is in us. All we have in Adam is just sin and death. Both of these were defeated on the cross and we were raised as defeated foes now victorious in Christ!

Now as we deny our self life God gains the victory in us through the death and resurrection of Christ.

2 Cor 2:14 NIV But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal [victorious] procession and uses us to spread the aroma [savour] of the knowledge of him everywhere.

1 Cor. 15:57 RV But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lion of Judah

In the universe there are two main problems—Satan and sin. As the Lion Christ has defeated and destroyed Satan, and as the Lamb He has taken away our sin (John 1:29). He has won the victory, and He has accomplished redemption. As the Lion He is the Fighter against the enemy; as the Lamb He is our Redeemer. He has fought to redeem us. He has won the battle over the enemy and has accomplished redemption for us. Revelation 5:5 does not say that Christ will overcome; on the contrary, this verse says that He has overcome already. As the fighting Lion He overcame the enemy, and now He is in the heavens.
