Über die Zahlennotation

Die Zahlennotation (auch Jianpu oder 简谱 genannt) schreibt jede Melodienote als Zahl von 1 bis 7 statt als Note auf einem Notensystem. Die Zahl zeigt die Stellung der Note in der Tonleiter des Liedes -- nicht ihre genaue Tonhöhe --, sodass dieselbe Melodie unabhängig von der gesungenen Tonart gleich aussieht.

Innerhalb einer Oktave entsprechen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 den bekannten Solmisationssilben Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti. Ein Punkt über einer Zahl hebt sie um eine Oktave an; ein Punkt darunter senkt sie um eine Oktave ab -- ohne Punkt bleibt es bei der mittleren, so geschriebenen Oktave.

Eine einzelne Zahl dauert einen Schlag. Ein Bindestrich (-) direkt nach einer Zahl hält dieselbe Note einen weiteren Schlag lang. Ein Strich unter einer Zahl verkürzt sie dagegen -- ein Strich ist ein halber Schlag, zwei Striche ein viertel Schlag. Eine 0 ist eine Pause: ein Schlag Stille.

Die Angabe oben auf dem Notenblatt, zum Beispiel "1=C" oder "1=Ab", zeigt, auf welcher Tonhöhe die Stufe 1 ("Do") liegt. Ein Lied in Moll trägt stattdessen die Angabe "6=X" -- Stufe 6 ("La") ist dann der eigentliche Grundton. Akkordsymbole über den Noten (wie "C" oder "G7") werden immer mit ihren gewohnten Buchstabennamen geschrieben, nie als Zahlen.

Bei der Angabe "1=C" klingen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 als C D E F G A B. Bei "1=G" klingen dieselben Zahlen dagegen als G A B C D E F# -- gleiche Form, andere Tonart.

We've been really enjoying seeing how wonderful the Lord's table is and how He is the victor! And after reading Psa. 22:29-All the flourishing of the earth will eat and worship. All who go down into the dust will bow down before Him, even he who does not keep his soul alive.

This additional verse was written to this tune:

Eat My body, Drink My blood now.
Do this to remember Me.
Bread and wine to eat and worship,
Christ Himself we will receive!
World and flesh are gone forever!
He's our portion, rich and sweet!

A couple of days ago, this hymn popped out of my mind when I woke up in the morning. I thus knew that the Lord wanted me to praise Him. That whole day I was praising Him with this hymn.

We are nothing; but the Lord has overcome, resurrected, and ascended. Hallelujah! We should praise the Lord every day. Praising Him fires up our spirit.

"Triumphed on Calvary!"
"He displays His victory!"
"He shall reign eternally!"
