All the way my Savior leads me

1
All the way my Savior leads me;
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?
Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me,
  Jesus doeth all things well,
For I know, whate’er befall me,
  Jesus doeth all things well.
2
All the way my Savior leads me,
Cheers each winding path I tread,
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the living bread.
Though my weary steps may falter,
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! a spring of joy I see,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! a spring of joy I see.
3
All the way my Savior leads me;
Oh, the fullness of His grace!
Perfect rest to me is promised
  In my Father’s blest embrace.
When my spirit, clothed immortal,
Wings its flight to realms of day,
This my song through endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way,
This my song through endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way.

On this last day of 2020, my mind reflects on the past year. The Lord has been our help and our strong tower. And He will continue... “there are still more trials, joys, temptations, battles, defeats, victories, prayers, answers, toils and strength yet to come. But... The Lord who “thus far” has helped us will help us all our journey through. ” Quoted from “Streams in the Desert”. This my song through endless ages, Jesus led me all the way.

I am so thankful that, being born in 1948, I was raised on these tried and true, old hymns. Even though the precious hymns were, in essence, thrown out of church buildings years ago, they remain in the hearts and minds of us who were blessed by the singing of them every Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night.

We still do not know the outcome of our votes on this 15th day of November,

but, like faithful friends, these songs return to me as I read the Bible and pray. This one lifted me up this morning. We are seeing our beloved "Land of the Free" go through what I never, ever thought would happen before the Rapture.

"But I know, what'ere befall me, Jesus doeth ALL things well."!!!! His grace is sufficient for us as we trust in Him!

Thank you so much for posting dear Fanny J. Crosby's comforting hymn!

It is Election Day here in the USA. While praying this morning, our Lord brought these lyrics to mind, “For I know whate’r befall me Jesus doeth all this well. ” Praise God, yes He does! Singing through the complete lyrics I found here has brought such peace and joy to my heart. And reading the comments from my brothers and sisters in Christ from around the world sets me longing for that great worship time when we all get to heaven! Thank you all for encouraging my spirit this morning!

This song came to mind this morning, so I looked it up and found all of these comments from so many beautiful brothers and sisters! It reminds me not to be so self focused. It's not all about me. There are so many of us suffering in one way or another, but it doesn't compare to the joy that is coming. Also, God really is protecting us from so much! If he wasn't, we wouldn't even have one moment of peace. I don't know why suffering is necessary in this life, but as Jesus said, "take heart, I've overcome the world." Praise God! Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

The way is not always easy, either to endure or understand but these words came to mind as I woke as with so many have said. Combined with Hebrews 12 vs 2: Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faithfulness, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of God. Consider him.........

What better more invigorating view.

Been facing trials and challenges at work that left me worn and weary, misunderstood, misjudged etc. As I communed with God this morning, He reminded me of this hymn. Each word, verse, and stanza is so precious to me. Can I doubt His tender mercy who through life has been my guide? No. He has always been faithful even when I was faithless. Oh what a Saviour

This song kept playing in my head all through my sleep. I got up this morning to sift through each word one by one. After reciting these words over and over I found a message in this song. I feel so blessed, strengthened and encouraged this morning. And I am so glad that our Father in heaven uses even songs to speak to us. Might I add even songs we don't know the lyrics too!!

Just the strength I needed as I go for a biopsy of a lung tumor. Just knowing that Jesus does ALL things well, gives me the courage!
