Turn your eyes upon Jesus

1
O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free.
  Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
  In the light of His glory and grace.
2
Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
O’er us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conqu’rors we are!
3
His Word shall not fail you, He promised;
Believe Him and all will be well;
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

This song has truly inspired me. I am tempted every now and again. But when I say no and sing this song, things change and God's Holy Spirit gives me strength to fight on. If you are reading this, please pray for me to glorify The Lord in my life.

Just found out today that my oldest brother probably has lung cancer. He's only 16 months younger than me. This song reminds me that Jesus is bigger than anything the world throws at us. Even if cancer takes his life, Jesus will be there to welcome him! Hallelujah!

I am here at this at last. Who else is here at last? Seeing this? State how long you been a Christian.

This is a timeless, ageless song. Such a great reminder of the loving sacrifice Jesus made to wipe away all sin. I love Him, and feel Him near right now.
