Über die Zahlennotation

Die Zahlennotation (auch Jianpu oder 简谱 genannt) schreibt jede Melodienote als Zahl von 1 bis 7 statt als Note auf einem Notensystem. Die Zahl zeigt die Stellung der Note in der Tonleiter des Liedes -- nicht ihre genaue Tonhöhe --, sodass dieselbe Melodie unabhängig von der gesungenen Tonart gleich aussieht.

Innerhalb einer Oktave entsprechen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 den bekannten Solmisationssilben Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti. Ein Punkt über einer Zahl hebt sie um eine Oktave an; ein Punkt darunter senkt sie um eine Oktave ab -- ohne Punkt bleibt es bei der mittleren, so geschriebenen Oktave.

Eine einzelne Zahl dauert einen Schlag. Ein Bindestrich (-) direkt nach einer Zahl hält dieselbe Note einen weiteren Schlag lang. Ein Strich unter einer Zahl verkürzt sie dagegen -- ein Strich ist ein halber Schlag, zwei Striche ein viertel Schlag. Eine 0 ist eine Pause: ein Schlag Stille.

Die Angabe oben auf dem Notenblatt, zum Beispiel "1=C" oder "1=Ab", zeigt, auf welcher Tonhöhe die Stufe 1 ("Do") liegt. Ein Lied in Moll trägt stattdessen die Angabe "6=X" -- Stufe 6 ("La") ist dann der eigentliche Grundton. Akkordsymbole über den Noten (wie "C" oder "G7") werden immer mit ihren gewohnten Buchstabennamen geschrieben, nie als Zahlen.

Bei der Angabe "1=C" klingen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 als C D E F G A B. Bei "1=G" klingen dieselben Zahlen dagegen als G A B C D E F# -- gleiche Form, andere Tonart.

Nothing could change me
But love and mercy.
Your love, dear Lord, has conquered me.

O, we were once sinners. We rebelled, even mocked and cursed Him. But only His great, great love and His mercy could change us. He died for us, His enemy, and even saved us! O, brothers and sisters, let us not return to the vain manner of life He has redeemed us from! This hymn really touches me, the Lord really loves us! Let us love Him back!

Lord, you loved us so very long! With a love enduring and strong! Thank You for this never failing love!

The Lord just waited and prayed as we sinned and sinned and sinned. He didn't scold, he waited and prayed. What a wonderful loving Christ that we have!

I remember trying and failing to hold back tears at my sixth grade conference as we sang this song. Oh Lord! I mocked and cursed You, sinned against You, and You waited, loved, and prayed! Your love has conquered me!

One little turn and You were there, waiting for me with Your loving care.

These words continually encourage and supply me every single day. The Lord speaks these words to me in every situation I face. We all need to be constantly reminded that all it takes is ONE LITTLE TURN and He is there waiting to care for us. All it takes is that one little turn and He is able to work Himself into us more.
