Über die Zahlennotation

Die Zahlennotation (auch Jianpu oder 简谱 genannt) schreibt jede Melodienote als Zahl von 1 bis 7 statt als Note auf einem Notensystem. Die Zahl zeigt die Stellung der Note in der Tonleiter des Liedes -- nicht ihre genaue Tonhöhe --, sodass dieselbe Melodie unabhängig von der gesungenen Tonart gleich aussieht.

Innerhalb einer Oktave entsprechen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 den bekannten Solmisationssilben Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti. Ein Punkt über einer Zahl hebt sie um eine Oktave an; ein Punkt darunter senkt sie um eine Oktave ab -- ohne Punkt bleibt es bei der mittleren, so geschriebenen Oktave.

Eine einzelne Zahl dauert einen Schlag. Ein Bindestrich (-) direkt nach einer Zahl hält dieselbe Note einen weiteren Schlag lang. Ein Strich unter einer Zahl verkürzt sie dagegen -- ein Strich ist ein halber Schlag, zwei Striche ein viertel Schlag. Eine 0 ist eine Pause: ein Schlag Stille.

Die Angabe oben auf dem Notenblatt, zum Beispiel "1=C" oder "1=Ab", zeigt, auf welcher Tonhöhe die Stufe 1 ("Do") liegt. Ein Lied in Moll trägt stattdessen die Angabe "6=X" -- Stufe 6 ("La") ist dann der eigentliche Grundton. Akkordsymbole über den Noten (wie "C" oder "G7") werden immer mit ihren gewohnten Buchstabennamen geschrieben, nie als Zahlen.

Bei der Angabe "1=C" klingen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 als C D E F G A B. Bei "1=G" klingen dieselben Zahlen dagegen als G A B C D E F# -- gleiche Form, andere Tonart.

My Quiet Time reading from Word for Today was from 2 Chronicles 20 and verse 12.

This old hymn was layed on my heart, the words of the chorus kept coming to mind.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus.

Praise God in the way He works in our lives, Amen.

Praise be to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. God through His Son will gather you up and hold you so no harm becomes of you. This song is a song of the heart and soul, a saving and wonderful Blessing.

In times of trouble and deceit, we who are His children must trust on the firm foundation of our Savior, Jesus.

Your treasures are NOT of this world. True peace and happiness are only found through trust in the Lord and waiting for the Lord to work his will through us.

Amen to all those who have said the truth and nothing but the truth about Jesus our Lord and Saviour. We ought always to turn our eyes upon Jesus because He is our only hope in whatever situation we face in life.

What a blessed thing it is to be SAVED and know for sure that we have a place in Heaven for all Eternity. More than half of the world has rejected the Saviour who died for their sins on that cruel Cross at Calvary.

Praise be to God and all honour and Glory are His for all eternity. Amen.
