My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

I was led in the Spirit this morning to this hymn and I am glad I obeyed and sang it. Thank God for the internet that made it possible for me to access the hymn.

God put this hymn on my heart during my devotion this morning & I looked up the lyrics to find these comments from my brothers & sisters in Christ from around the world. How wonderful to know God's people, my people, are everywhere & we are praising Him together!
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Oh yes, my hope is built on no other but Jesus Christ, for He is my righteousness. This song reaffirms my faith and strength in my Lord and Personal Savior Jesus Christ. What a beautiful hymn.

This song makes me feel stronger. Whenever I am singing this song I see host of angels around me because it connects me to heaven.

This has always been one of my favorite hymns post coming into relationship with Christ Jesus. It most precious line states "all other ground is sinking sand." Anything that edges God out is truly sinking sand.

I have not found any appropriate words to express what my spirit sees whenever this hymn is sung.
I absolutely see all other grounds, be it money, fame, education, friends, parents, wealth, name them! I see all of them SINKING as the hymn says!
Indeed On CHRIST the only solid Rock I will forever stand for all other ground is just sinking sand.
Glory to JESUS.
