I have a 2020 college grad who was scheduled to go to the Philippines July 1 with the Peace Corps. Her world has been rocked and I come back to this song because we have a kingdom that is unshakable, and we have access to it through the blood of Jesus. It is still really hard to live this experientially right now. We should know and believe that fear is not of the Spirit and it is only God who creates a marvelous and still inexplicable intricate immune system and it is God who measures our days on this earth. When the world is screaming something else it is hard to hear Gods voice and live in his truth.

Just this week, A friend of my told me that his adult son had taken his life. Suicide with a gun. He part of the reason was because of being stuck inside because of covid 19. He said there were other reasons but basically he thinks his son just gave up hope. I do wish I would had known the guy and spoke to him about the Hope our faith is built on.
