1
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
2
When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
3
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
4
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

I didn't know all the words to this hymn until I logged onto your website. I was humming only the parts that I knew. I am so glad the Holy Spirit prompted me to look for it. It has made me glad inside to know that now I know all the words to this beautiful hymn.

I was so depressed and down casted when I sang this song this morning I felt the peace of God is my heart.

This wonderful morning I woke up full of the Holy Spirit, then I heard this song in my spirit so I started singing it and praying. I had to look up for the lyrics because I was mixing up.
Christ the solid rock.
The last verse is what we are eagerly waiting for, the trumpet sound!
I just pray that I will fautlessly stand before the throne of glory. Amen.

I have been singing the refrain most of this morning and had to look up the lyrics since I had them all jumbled up. What a wonderful song and message! it is uplifting and gives me more reason to look to Christ! Praise the Lord!

I woke up with part of this song being sung, by a man's voice, I had to figure it out. It was very faint... I wondered if it was Jesus singing.... the last verse is
When He shall come with trumpet soundh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne... I had been dreaming all night about "being ready" this song gave me hope.
