Jesus! that name we love

Praise of the Lord His Name

English65
1
Jesus! that name we love,
Jesus, our Lord!
Jesus, all names above,
Jesus, the Lord!
Thou, Lord, our all must be;
Nothing that’s good have we,
Nothing apart from Thee.
Jesus, our Lord!
2
As Son of Man it was,
Jesus, the Lord!
Thou gav’st Thy life for us,
Jesus, our Lord!
Great was indeed Thy love,
All other loves above,
Love Thou didst dearly prove,
Jesus, our Lord!
3
Righteous alone in Thee,
Jesus, the Lord!
Thou wilt a refuge be,
Jesus, our Lord!
Whom, then, have we to fear,
What trouble, grief, or care,
Since Thou art ever near,
Jesus, our Lord!
4
Soon Thou wilt come again,
Jesus, the Lord!
We shall be happy then,
Jesus, our Lord!
When Thine own face we see,
Then shall we like Thee be,
Then evermore with Thee,
Jesus, our Lord!

Jesus! that name we love, Jesus, our Lord!.

Jesus, all names above, Jesus, the Lord!

Pp 2:9Therefore also God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,

Pp 2:10That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

Pp 2:11And every tongue should openly confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

I love the name of Jesus. I love this hymn. This hymn describes what our Lord Jesus Christ had gone through and how He relates to us in each stanza.

Stanza 1 Jesus' name is above all names

Stanza 2 His incarnation and redemption. He gave His life for us because He loves the church.

Stanza 3 He lives in us that we can live an overcoming life

Stanza 4 The Lord is coming back. We love His appearing
