Trust and obey

Experience of Christ Obeying Him

English582
1
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
2
Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
3
Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
4
But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
5
Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do;
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.

What He says I will do,
Where He sends I will go.
There's no other way but to trust and obey the Lord.

Oh what a treasure this hymn is, what a blessing to generations.

This reminds me how mandatory my trust for Jesus should be without which all other things are fake. My obedience also comfirms the total trust for Jesus. Laying my everything on the body of Jesus makes things lighter and easy going!!!!

Praise the Lord!!!!!!

This is a song I sang in church. I loved singing but I remember singing when I was alone as a child. Tonight I had to obey the Lord. It felt hard part of me didn't want too.. But I know not to go against the Lord. Than this song comes to my mind. I know he has all the answers. Daddy knows best. 😏

Beautiful song. Thought about how I have carried so many burdens. And the Lord told me to allow his yoke upon me and that He will give me rest. I will only trust and obey God. He has good plans for my life this year. amen.
