To God be the glory, great things He hath done, So loved He the world that He gave us His Son, Who yielded His life our redemption to win, And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, To every believer the promise of God; The vilest offender who truly believes, That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

My 94 year old Mom has dementia. She hums this song continuously, even when dozing. Sometimes she makes up new lyrics to the melody. It now plays over & over in my head, too. My sisters and I have laughingly agreed that this will be one of the songs we play at her funeral.
I have found myself singing this chorus continually, whether at the supermarket, in the street, in the garden, but mostly as I wake it is already singing in my heart, The Holy spirit fills me with the praise of God. So happy to finally put verses to the song, thank you
I woke with this song in my heart. I was so pleased that I could remember all the words to the chorus. That's a big deal for me now days. Praise the Lord 🙏
Indeed to God be ALL the GLORY!!! I have shared with my friends so they can listen and be blessed too. This hymn 🎶🎹🎸🎶gives hope and contentment to every believer 🙏🏾🙏🏾.
I heard a dream where I saw a massive light coming towards me, before I knew it something that look like a car came and picked me up and I was suddenly in the air travelling at a very high speed, the sky was so beautiful and I heard a choir singing this song. My heart was full of joy and peace and suddenly I woke up. I was not happy because the place I was at was peaceful and glorious. Jesus will surely come like a thief in the night.
Third, we may classify the hymns by the sentiment expressed in the hymns. This is the deepest and most important matter in choosing a hymn. The sentiment of a hymn is the tender feeling of that hymn. The more tender a hymn is, the deeper is its sentiment. Two hymns may have the same subject and be under the same subdivision, but there may be a difference between them in sentiment. For example, Hymns, #39 and #52 are both hymns on the worship of the Father, but they have very different sentiments. Hymns, #39 is a good hymn that is full of excitement. Singing this hymn may make us want to shout. In contrast, Hymns, #52 is a very tender and fine hymn, perhaps the most tender and fine hymn in the section on the worship of the Father. If we study and pray over this hymn, we will sense how deep and tender its feeling is.
