Jesus, lover of my soul

It never ceases to amaze me the kindness of Divine Providence in my life.

This was a particularly difficult weekend for me, and a few hours ago, I asked our Lord to help me cope and a bit later on the same day, I stumbled across this beautiful hymn. Thank you for providing the complete lyrics. God bless.

Last night, I dreamt singing this song. It has been forever since I last sang this song. The Lord knows our need! Jesus is the lover of our soul, no other refuge have we!

I know I am in the good company of many different people in many parts of the world, while listening to, and musing about the words of this most precious hymn (labeling it as merely a song does not do it justice). They certainly don't write hymns like this anymore

Remember everybody: only in Christ are we all brothers and sisters.

This song keeps me hanging on when I feel I have no one in this world who genuinely wants to help me or comfort me. I am reminded that He is always there. To protect, to love and to save me.

"Cover my defenseless head with the shadow of Thy wing". This song was my anchor when I was not married. Are you alone or feeling alone I pray the Lord through this song will minister to you. He did it for me He will do it for you.

This song comfort and gives me hope. Listening to this song makes me remember that there is one person that loves me more than anyone in this world, and WHO is willing to help and take all my sins, worries away. I am madly in love with Jesus Christ because He first loved me. I am thankful to have such a faithful friend (Him) whom I tell everything without being afraid of betrayal. <3 <3

I can't stop singing it again and again.

I feel pains and cries a lot when I remember my past. I won election in the university as a hall president and from then I have never had peace. Huge amount of Debt came my way and I was being searched for the money by the Management of the school. it became a burden for me but I had no option than to visit about three different lesser gods for a solution to my problem. they asked me to bring and pay some amount of money in which I did but never seen any results. they rather took away the little I had and my problem became worse.

I realized I had someone that can save me from all my burden (JESUS CHRIST) so I prayed to Him and things begin to change. even though I haven’t been able to pay the millions of money I owe but I have peace now.

I listened to this song today and I know all these will one day be a testimony to me.

Oh what a way to remind mankind of his weaknesses and mortality? When we accept our weaknesses, He fills us with His power. The tune and lyrics convey the messages of the hymn effectively. It can only be the Holy spirit that has inspired this. Every stanza is overtly rich with messages of God's love and His ever loving calls for the sinner to come to Him. I am well blessed. At a point I felt like crying.

Jesus lover of my soul. I respond to Your love today. I open my entire being to You. I give You my spirit and soul and body for the building up of Your Body, Your Church. Amen.
