Jesus is tenderly calling thee home

Gospel The Lord’s Calling

English1028
1
Jesus is tenderly calling thee home—
Calling today, calling today!
Why from the sunshine of love wilt thou roam,
Farther and farther away?

Calling today! calling today!
Jesus is calling, is tenderly calling today!
2
Jesus is calling the weary to rest,
Calling today! calling today!
Bring Him thy burden and thou shalt be blest:
He will not turn thee away.
3
Jesus is waiting, O come to Him now!
Waiting today! waiting today!
Come with thy sins, at His feet lowly bow;
Come, and no longer delay.
4
Jesus is pleading, O list to His voice!
Hear Him today! hear Him today!
They who believe on His name shall rejoice:
Quickly arise, come away!

I listened this from our church choir and had to google for the lyrics. It is a lovely call and hymn. I love it.

A sinner like me still loves GOD. I always tremble when I hear God calling.

The song has a lot of inspirational message that one has to think about before the grace period is closed.

I saw myself singing this hymn with a choir in the dream---the impact on me was so great that I had to start looking for how to get the lyrics when I woke up, thank God I did....Just as I am Oh Lord, take me as Thine forever.

This is a great call from our Master. He continually pleads with us to hearken and follow Him like a Shepherd calls the sheep. Lord, help us with a kind heart to listen and hearken to the call-Come to Him Now!

This song makes one (me) picture Christ's humble look and gentle voice pleading with one (me) to come to Him. It really is sad when the Lord calls us to leave evil ways and follow Him yet we say no. Say yes to Jesus today, please. Thanks and God bless.
