The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want

1
The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want;
  He makes me down to lie
In pastures green; He leadeth me
  The quiet waters by.
2
My soul He doth restore again,
  And me to walk doth make
Within the paths of righteousness,
  E’en for His own name’s sake.
3
Yea, though I walk in death’s dark vale,
  Yet will I fear no ill;
For Thou art with me, and Thy rod
  And staff me comfort still.
4
My table Thou hast furnished
  In presence of my foes;
My head Thou dost with oil anoint,
  And my cup overflows.
5
Goodness and mercy all my life
  Shall surely follow me,
And in God’s house forevermore
  My dwelling-place shall be.

The song Blessed me this morning. Indeed he is the good shepherd.

Psalm 23 is all because of his sacrifice graphically painted in a word picture in psalm 22. This is why we can have the provision, peace, joy, and love which is found only in Christ.

Another verse;

Through many dangers toils and trials

I have already come

I’ve no less days to sing his praise

Than when we first begun

Always my favourite psalm which I recite as I walk with the dog daily and now, thanks to this wonderful site, I am now able to sing it as I've so wanted to, learning the variation of text for this purpose, thank you <3

I always sing this song or speak out the whole psalm 23 led by the Spirit of the Lord. This morning as I was singing, I noticed an emphasis on "He doth restore again" and on "goodness and mercy all my life shall surely follow me and the rest to the end.. God is in the work of restoring my life and the last one is an assurance to me of His great promise to be with me forever more. I had to Google out this and write out the exact words of the song as it is to keep singing it right.

Thanks alot for all that you do to advance the Kingdom of God on this platform. May God richly bless you.

When I am down and hopeless, this song will peach up. It always reminds me that people around me may not like me, but I have assurance of His love. I feel moved after that thought. He is my shepherd, it doesn't matter whether there is corona virus contaminating us, He is my shepherd and He is good. The song embraces me with peace. Peace to everyone singing this song.

Yesterday this song came into my mind but I could only remember parts of the last verse. I decided at some point I would Google the lyrics. Well, I woke up this morning with thoughts from the enemy, about how Ive not worked in a long time and there's going to be this gap in income flow, and on it went. Well, after my Bible study, I decided to worship and looked up the lyrics. Now I realize it was my Heavenly Father who put the song in my head because He knew that attack was coming and knew I needed to be reminded of who He is and what He is doing in my life and the lives of His children! 🙌

God bless you for putting this website together!
