Christ has put on human nature and become a man like me, He has died upon the cross that I from Adam might be free, He has risen and as Spirit He has come to live in me That He might be my life.

When we are not in spirit, we easily fall into our own feelings and become dead. Praising God is the way to be delivered from the self. The Bible tells us to offer up a sacrifice of praise continually to God (Heb. 13:15). Elderly sisters can say, "Praise the Lord, we are able to sit here because of Your grace." If every brother and sister would pray like this, the meeting would be living. Any meeting will be uplifted to the heavens and become the best meeting as long as everyone prays with his spirit and speaks a few words. When we come to a meeting, we should be like players on a ball court, ready to coordinate and function with one another. Strictly speaking, our meetings should begin from our homes. As we are driving to the meeting with our wife, or even as soon as we get into the car, we can praise the Lord. Once we pray, she will say, "Amen." Then immediately, we may say, "Yes, Lord, You are worthy to be praised." In this way the meeting has begun in the car. Once we get out of the car, we can begin to sing, "Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!" (Hymns, #1017); we can continue singing as we walk into the meeting and even after we sit down. How living this meeting will be!
The brothers and sisters should also prepare songs for the children's meetings. We should not treat the little ones like the older saints and have them sing the same songs that we do. Hymns, #1017, for example, says, "Christ has put on human nature and become a man like me, / He has died upon the cross that I from Adam might be free, / He has risen and as Spirit He has come to live in me / That He might be my life." This hymn does not match the six-year-olds. They may be able to pick up the tune, but they will not understand the words. To prepare the proper children's songs is not easy; it requires much work. We can adopt the melodies of certain hymns, but if possible, we can also compose new melodies. (The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1967, vol. 1, p. 508)
We need to realize that if the Triune God had not been processed, He could not have an expression on this earth. About two thousand years ago, the Triune God became flesh (John 1:14). Hymns, #1017 says, "Christ has put on human nature and become a man like me,/He has died upon the cross that I from Adam might be free,/He has risen and as Spirit He has come to live in me/That He might be my life." After Christ comes into us as life, He begins to spread in us for His expression. Glory is God expressed.
