1
Begone, unbelief,
My Savior is near,
And for my relief
Will surely appear;
By prayer let me wrestle,
And He will perform;
With Christ in the vessel,
I smile at the storm.
2
Though dark be my way,
Since He is my Guide,
’Tis mine to obey,
’Tis His to provide;
Though cisterns be broken,
And creatures all fail,
The word He hath spoken
Shall surely prevail.
3
His love, in time past,
Forbids me to think
He’ll leave me at last
In trouble to sink:
Each sweet Ebenezer
I have in review
Confirms His good pleasure
To help me quite through.
4
Why should I complain
Of want or distress,
Temptation or pain?
He told me no less;
The heirs of salvation,
I know from His Word,
Through much tribulation
Must follow their Lord.
5
How bitter that cup
No heart can conceive,
Which He drank quite up,
That sinners might live!
His way was much rougher
And darker than mine;
Did Christ, my Lord, suffer,
And shall I repine?
6
Since all that I meet
Shall work for my good,
The bitter is sweet,
The medicine, food;
Though painful at present,
’Twill cease before long,
And then, oh, how pleasant
The conqueror’s song!

Even though my grandma never had any formal education.
She learnt a lot of Christian hymns and songs.
She love this hymn
Yes, she always say with smiles.
CHRIST AROSE . AND THE LIVING AMONG THE DEATH.

This is my grandmother's favorite hymn.
Because it a testament to the salvation message.
And a thank you song to the creator of the Universe
Anytime she is un well she sings several times:
Begone unbelief
My saviour is near
And for my relief
Will surely appear
Oh Grandma!

Whilst each Ebenezer I keep in review, reminds me He sees us quite through - hallelujah. We need to look no further than the cross.

God bless you Miss Betty Marian Mends, for teaching me this song at Junior High. O what a blessing this song has been to me!

With Christ in the vessel, victory is sure.
Though all things failed
Christ never fail...

It may be painful at present, but give me time my conqueror songs shall go viral Hallelujah!

This is one of the first songs that I knew by heart.

With CHRIST in the vessel, I smile at the storm, when everything else fails CHRIST will never fail or leave us.. The heirs of salvation I know from HIS Word, through much tribulation must follow the LORD, Did CHRIST my LORD suffer and shall I repine?..

Thank YOU JESUS for making us part of your sufferings... We know assuredly that if we suffer with HIM, we shall also reign eternally with HIM... Amen
