I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me

Assurance and Joy of Salvation Loved by the Lord

English289
1
I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me,
Confused at the grace that so fully He proffers me;
I tremble to know that for me He was crucified,
That for me, a sinner, He suffered, He bled and died.

O it is wonderful that He should care for me
Enough to die for me!
O it is wonderful, wonderful to me!
2
I marvel that He would descend from His throne divine
To rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine;
That He should extend His great love unto such as I,
Sufficient to own, to redeem, and to justify.
3
I think of His side, pierced and bleeding to pay the debt,
Such mercy, such love and devotion can I forget?
No, no! I will praise and adore at the mercy seat,
And testify all my desires He doth fully meet.

We sung this song before the blessing of the sacrament today. I cried for the first time singing at Sacrament meeting because the words of this song had spoken to me about the love of Jesus for us. It is so real and unconditional.

Church is a hospital for sick souls not a museum for sinless ones. Dont let pride and sin be the reason you don't go to church...let it be the very reason why you must go. God bless you.

Sheila, I never comment on any website, but I felt like I should here. I do so because I just want you to know that i'll pray for you. When you feel hopeless say to yourself that those feelings are not coming from the Lord. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is ALWAYS the gospel of HOPE...

True messages from the Lord always help us to feel hope.

Sheila, We all have! Our Heavenly Father would love for you to be at church. Know He and Christ love you so very much and no matter what you do, say, They will always LOVE you!

This remains in my mind and my heart.... I backslided, I sinned, don't have the face to go back to church - this song is my link to sanity.......
