Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer

Praise of the Lord General

English235
1
Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, ye saints! His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! hail Him! mightiest angels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will feed His people,
In His arms He carries them all day long;
O ye saints that live in the light of His presence,
Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!
2
Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,
For our sins He suffered and bled and died;
He, our Rock, our Hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus, the Crucified;
Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow,
Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow;
Once for us rejected, despised, and forsaken,
Prince of Glory, ever triumphant now.
3
Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,
Heavenly portals, loud with hosannahs ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth for ever and ever;
Crown Him! crown Him! Prophet and Priest and King!
Death is vanquished! Tell it with joy, ye faithful,
Where is now thy victory, boasting grave?
Jesus lives! No longer thy portals are cheerless;
Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.

A wonderful stirring hymn of praise and worship to the Saviour God the Lord Jesus Christ. The hymn covers most areas of the important Christian experience EXCEPT conversion and the second coming.

How about the following, the first on repentance and faith in the gospel, the second on the second coming......

Praise Him ! Praise Him! Jesus our blessed redeemer!
To repentance He called me to bring to pass.
And His God-given faith to believe the gospel,
Both when I did enabled me to class
Of saved people, joining the throng of heaven.
He gave His Holy Spirit to empower me
To live Godly, and loving my neighbour who's not seen,
Bearing fruit in evangelism keen.
Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus our blessed Redeemer!
Bought from sin we await Him to return and land
When the skies will open to show the Saviour
As He returns to Earth and on Olivet stands.
Then from Zion he'll reign forever with favour
To His people he bought with His precious blood
One day the devil will be cast down to Hades
And eternal freedom His Kingdom prove.

We sing this Hymn in our church quite often and I love it; one of my favorite hymns of praise to our Savior. I still get choked up when I think of Him on that cross suffering for our sins, but He prevailed and reigns over all so it is why I love to hear the words "Praise Him, Praise Him! Jesus our blessed Redeemer! I just love when we sing this song. To me it is the best song of praise and thanksgiving to our Redeemer.

This will always been one of my most favorite songs growing up as a kid, sitting beside my father and mother every Sunday and Wednesday night.

Breaks my heart, we never hear this song in churches anymore.

"Really hurts"!
Seems, those days may be gone for ever?
'We Dislike'
the new made up songs the public churches have come up with.

Very shallow in comparison, indeed. Seems are "Holy Spirit" doesn't care for them much either...
