Grant us the vision clear to see

Experience of Christ His Humanity

English1173
1
Grant us the vision clear to see
We need a new humanity;
From all our nature, we must be free;
Eating of Jesus is the key!
Breathing this man within the Word,
Calling with them who call “O Lord”;
Eating this man in one accord—
Breathe, call and eat!
2
Our flesh for building is no good;
God’s house must have acacia wood!
Christ’s human life is balanced and fine,
And it’s adorned with gold divine.
We want to stand as boards so strong,
Held by the bars where we belong;
To be the church for which You long—
One full-grown man!
3
Satan’s one aim: to ruin man,
Man, who’s the center of God’s plan!
But man will rule the earth utterly,
Conquering every enemy.
Each time we turn and eat this man
We put an end to Satan’s plan.
Jesus through His humanity
Has conquered all!

A NEW HUMANITY

----------------

Before we were saved, we were just a sketch of destruction. But out of this sketch of destruction God has regenerated us to become a new humanity. This is a glory to God and a shame to Satan. As long as the church has the proper humanity, God can tell Satan, “Even in Los Angeles, the movie capital of the world, I have built up a humanity against you. I have not done it by angels or by Myself but with the human beings you damaged. I have built up a new humanity. ” What a glory to God to be able to say this to Satan! Even Satan will realize that the more he damages man, the more glory God will get.

The New Creation

--------------

In the New Testament the believers are a new creation. Second Corinthians 5:17 says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new. ” In the Bible the word creation refers to something created out of nothing. In Genesis 1 God did not need any material in order to create. God said, “Let there be light; and there was light” (v. 3). He is the One who calls the things not being as being (Rom. 4:17). The formation of Adam, however, was different; it was not called a creation. Genesis 2:7 says that “God formed man... ” God used the dust of the ground as the material to form the first man, Adam.

God created His new creation without any physical material. The new creation was created by God with Christ as the embodiment of the divine life. Hence, the material for the new creation is the divine life. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation because God’s life has entered into him. Before our regeneration we did not have the divine life, but through regeneration God imparted Himself into us and became our life. Thus, we became the embodiment of Christ. He has been born into us as our life. In this way we have become a new creation.

A controlling vision of all that Christ is to us keeps us from having any thought that we can do anything for the Lord according to our natural man. What touches people is God mingled in us as seen in our Jesusly human daily living.

We sang this song in our prayer meeting tonight.

A brother suggested to change stanza 1 line 2 to "we have a new humanity",

and line 3 to "from all our nature we are made free".

I thought that is an improvement.

The spiritual warfare between the enemy and the saints is not so much in divine power but in the proper humanity. For the spiritual warfare we need the humanity of Jesus. To fight the battle against the enemy, we post exercise the humanity of Jesus and our daily walk. Our family life needs the humanity of Jesus. Among the Saints in the church we need the humanity of Jesus. In other words, if we are not proper in humanity, it is impossible for us to defeat Satan. Jesus can be.

I was enjoying John 19:5. Behold, the Man! Only this humanity can fulfil God's plan.
