Oh, the church of Christ is glorious

Not the individual Christians,
but a corporate entity—
God must have it for His full expression now;
Not just individual churches but the Body corporately—

Hallelujah, the church today is God’s expression, the testimony of Jesus, the golden lampstand shining for God and with God. We are holding forth the word of life and shining in this dark age! Praise the Lord! 😀

Jesus is the Tree of Life, The Bread of Life and the Water of Life. Lets eat and drink Him everyday

I woke up with this hymn in my mind again. It speaks of the corporate oneness. But there is a oneness that is built up as we spend our time in the church life.

Eating Jesus, pictured in the Lord’s Table meeting, is what makes the body one. Drinking of each others spirit, when we are together, brings in love. By this love we care for one another. We supply each others needs and carry each others burdens. This builds up the body. Many times this happens outside of the meetings. This produces spiritual companions. This is best pictured by a husband and wife. This is also a beautiful picture of Christ and the church. As brothers and sisters we must be subject to one another as the whole church is subject to Christ. When outsiders see the oneness of the body, produced from a healthy church life, they must confess they see God!

The revelation of the church, which is His body, is the subject of this hymn. This subject has only recently been brought into focus. The oneness of the body is a fact. God is not divided! But sadly the reality of the oneness has not always been displayed. Only the Spirit can make us one when we partake of Him by faith. This is true spiritual eating. This eating of the Word brings us Christ and who becomes our oneness. It is imperative that we know the gospel of John chapter seventeen on the oneness and John chapter 6 about spiritual eating. I love this hymn. It has helped me.

Praise the Lord Jesus us the way!

John 14:6 Jesus said I am the way, the reality and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.

Hallelujah for the Body!
For the lampstands of the Body!
For the golden, shining Body!
Hallelujah, it is brightly shining now!
