Life at best is very brief

Gospel Persuasion

1
Life at best is very brief,
Like the falling of a leaf,
Like the binding of a sheaf,
Be in time!
Fleeting days are telling fast
That the die will soon be cast,
And the fatal line be passed,
Be in time!

Be in time! Be in time!
While the voice of Jesus calls you,
Be in time!
If in sin you longer wait,
You may find no open gate,
And your cry be just too late:
Be in time!
2
Fairest flowers soon decay,
Youth and beauty pass away;
O you have not long to stay,
Be in time!
While God’s Spirit bids you come,
Sinner, do not longer roam,
Lest you seal your hopeless doom,
Be in time!
3
Time is gliding swiftly by,
Death and judgment draweth nigh,
To the arms of Jesus fly,
Be in time!
O I pray you count the cost!
Ere the fatal line be crossed,
And your soul in hell be lost,
Be in time!
4
Sinner, heed the warning voice,
Make the Lord your final choice,
Then all heaven will rejoice,
Be in time!
Come from darkness into light;
Come, let Jesus make you right;
Come, receive His life tonight,
Be in time!

Truly life at best is very brief and there is nothing in this life, it will soon decay like a fallen floor. So what are you bragging about!

This is the song I so much love because it prepared my mind towards heaven. I prayed that the Lord will give understanding of His words.

A song with such a gentle but convicting grace. Both tune and lyrics flow from heart that had genuine desire to get the lost saved. Learnt it partly recently at the wake keep of sister who went to be with the LORD.

Even if you have been saved, this song will compel you to reflect where you are at.

LORD, revive us!

I love this song. It is the first song the Lord used me to minister to a congregation many years ago as a student; many lives were touched. The memory is ever fresh in my heart.

It reminds us that sooner or later we shall depart this world and we should not delay in making with God.

Yes, life at best is very brief. Let's be in time for the King of Glory is coming! When? Soon. Just Be in time!

While the voice of Jesus calls you, be in time. If in sin you no longer wait,

You may find no open gate,
And your cry be just too late.
Please, please, come to Jesus.

Think about finding no open gate in front of you on that day. It's terrible.

But you know what everbody can avoid that. You can avoid that!

Come from darkness into light;
Please come and let Jesus make you right;
Come receive His Life now.

Be in time. Don't wait for life is very brief. Come to Jesus now!

Love You all.
In Christ,
MM

This song is a clarion call to all Christians to know that our candles are burning off gradually and we must be up and doing in the work of the Master as the Great Day draws near. We must also preach the gospel like a dying man to a dying world, peradventure, we may save some from eternal perdition.

"I must work the works of Him that sent me while it is day, for the night cometh when no man can work"
