1
While we pray and while we plead,
While you see your soul’s deep need,
While our Father calls you home,
Will you not to Jesus come?
While you see your soul’s deep need,
While our Father calls you home,
Will you not to Jesus come?
Why not now? Why not now?
Why not come to Jesus now?
Why not now? Why not now?
Why not come to Jesus now?
Why not come to Jesus now?
Why not now? Why not now?
Why not come to Jesus now?

You have wandered far away;
Do not risk another day;
Do not turn from God thy face,
But today accept His grace.
Do not risk another day;
Do not turn from God thy face,
But today accept His grace.

In the world you’ve failed to find
Aught of peace for troubled mind;
Come to Christ, on Him believe,
Peace and joy you shall receive.
Aught of peace for troubled mind;
Come to Christ, on Him believe,
Peace and joy you shall receive.

Come to Christ, confession make;
Come to Christ, and pardon take;
Trust in Him from day to day,
He will keep you all the way.
Come to Christ, and pardon take;
Trust in Him from day to day,
He will keep you all the way.

Mensaje 322 (LSM)
The hymn touches my heart, reminding me that no matter the challenges in my life Jesus is all I need. Thank you Jesus my Lord, my king, my saviour and my brother.

Today is the day of salvation! The Lord is calling! Even knocking at the door to be let in! May we not harden our hearts. Even after believing into Christ he calls us to pursue him like the apostle Paul to gain the out-resurrection from the dead! Lord make us worthy of the first and best resurrection. Amen!

The love of God is constantly calling to leave the wandering life of sin. When He came to me in the gospel, pleading and knocking on my heart, I refused and resisted with silly excuses that I knew were nothing. Or, maybe it was the fear of not knowing what would happen after I opened and believed. After refusing repeatedly, my thought was, "what if He stops coming, and I don't ever have the chance to hear the gospel again?" It was as verse two says,"Do not risk another day." The conviction of "Why not now?" became so strong that I couldn't refuse any longer. Let us "pray and plead", not giving up on anyone as we persuade them to come to Christ!
