There is a fountain filled with blood

Gospel The Blood

English1006
1
There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel’s veins;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains:
Lose all their guilty stains,
Lose all their guilty stains;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.
2
The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away:
Wash all my sins away,
Wash all my sins away;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away.
3
Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its power,
Till all the ransomed ones of God
Be saved, to sin no more:
Be saved, to sin no more,
Be saved, to sin no more;
Till all the ransomed ones of God,
Be saved to sin no more.
4
E’er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die:
And shall be till I die,
And shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.
5
When this poor lisping, stammering tongue
Lies silent in the grave,
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing Thy power to save:
I’ll sing Thy power to save,
I’ll sing Thy power to save;
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing Thy power to save.

About the best site for songs I want to learn anywhere on the Internet. I appreciate very much your making these songs available. I like the piano recording of the song too. I never played quite to that rhythm, but I liked it and want to try it.

This song is powerful; however, the song Amazing Grace, with the original 13 verses written as a poem before being put to music years later, point out that it was us who nailed Him to that cross. It is a more powerfully moving song than this. Please look up the original version of Amazing Grace. If you aren't moved to tears, I'd be surprised, my brothers and sisters in Christ.

This song is one of the most Powerful Hymn of all times. When you think of his Redeeming Power you are left speechless, and it humbles you to go down at Jesus feet and ask for his Forgiveness.

Of the list of songs that puts your soul in a peaceful place of hope with the love of our savior Jesus Christ, this is truly among the great ones. Praise His Name.

Little else offers the rest like a good old gospel song such as this, without all of the glitter that is in today’s music.
