I need Thee every hour

1
I need Thee every hour,
  Most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like Thine
  Can peace afford.
  I need Thee, oh, I need Thee;
  Every hour I need Thee;
Oh, bless me now, my Savior!
    I come to Thee.
2
I need Thee every hour,
  Stay Thou near by;
Temptations lose their power
  When Thou art nigh.
3
I need Thee every hour,
  In joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide,
  Or life is vain.
4
I need Thee every hour,
  Teach me Thy will;
And Thy rich promises
  In me fulfill.
5
I need Thee every hour,
  Most Holy One;
Oh, make me Thine indeed,
  Thou blessed Son.

Just in my silent hour with my Lord, this song came into heart and calmly manifest in my lips. At that point I realized that nothing more important than His presence, and nothing satisfied than our Lord Jesus Christ. Am at peace when I sing it.

The song I love to sing when I seek His presence, His touch and desires His miracles.

As I began my holy hour this song came to mind. The choir that my father directed sang it often, but I haven’t heard it recently. Right now I feel the need for the Lord’s presence and help more strongly than usual.

Omoolorun suggested another comforting psalm, hymn that is a favorite of mine too.

In the darkest hour, in the storms, in the hour of midnight when all was gone in my work place, memoirs of Christ's suffering came and flushed in my mind with the ardent need for the Lord to be closer

This song surfaced in my mind and lingered hard. I hard to search it to remind me of the closeness to Christ. I need to be with You dear Lord.

The song reminds me that without God, I can't do nothing or achieve anything.

These song is so smooten. Right to the point. It reminds me of Jehoshaphat's prayer in 2nd Chronicles 20, when He said: I am afraid and I am powerless against our enemies. What a thing to say. That is exactly I how I feel about this wonderful hymn.

I was brooding through some overwhelming thought and I remembered the soothing words of our Lord from the scriptures...

This song help me in accessing God's intervention. It remains relevant at all times.

Without God, all people are ZEROS. We need Him every time.

Omoolorun

Lagos, Nigeria

The song of help from the Lord. I will look up into the hills from whence cometh my help my help cometh from the Lord owns heaven and earth.

In the morning assembly with children this song came to my mind. Thank You God. I will teach these children the hymn so we may be swinging together.

Surely every hour we need Him. From hour to hour we do not know what situations will confront us. We may say hallelujah or amen in the meeting, but when we get home, our joy may vanish, and instead of hallelujah and amen there will be silence and a long face. A problem has arisen. Or we may get chilled and catch cold. Whatever the problem, Christ is there taking care of our case. He bears us when we have a long face or are ill. His interceding never ceases. His ability to take care of us is unlimited because He is the almighty God. His priesthood is an interceding ministry in the heavens, in the Holy of Holies, before God for us.
