Is not this Amazing Grace God's one an only Son, Jesus Christ?
When we've been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We've no less days to sing God's praise than when we first begun.....
10, 000 years and He's as new and fresh as when we first begun.

As old as time. It places parts of me closer to the praise of GOD in despair, grief, and emotional pain..... then redemption thru atonement.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound.

This hymn is of Christian testimony after conversion. Conversion occurs when God the Holy Spirit convicts someone of their sin and unbelief, and they then repent and believe the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He died for their sins, bearing them in His body on the tree at Calvary, ,and rose again from the dead three days later. (The gospel accounts of the passion of the Lord Jesus).
It is God's grace that brings them to become a born again Christian. this grace is undeserved by the sinner becoming a born again Christian.
And one day, in Heaven, we shall be like the stars that shine forever and ever. (Daniel).

This hymn has been a family favorite as long as I can remember. I can hear my great aunt humming it as she washed clothes on the back porch and when she prepared meals in the kitchen. When I was growing up we sang this hymn at revivals, Sunday services, and church meetings. As an adult, I now understand the meaning of the verses and their importance to Christians.

This song has been my absolute favorite for many years. It's helped me get through some tough times because of its encouraging and strengthening nature. God is so good and so faithful!
