My great grandfather was orphaned at a young age in Ireland and then sent to Wigan in the northwest of England. There was nothing really to do back then here apart from coal mines and the mills, but he could sing - and he did! His son, my grandad, played the piano and they performed at various events around the town. This hymn reminds me of them, I find it heart wrenching xC
