跟著唱：do re mi fa sol，再唱回 do。

1=C：do 就是 C。
1=G：同樣的數字，從較高的音開始。

小調：「6=A」

這是詩歌第 8 首「Praise God, from whom all blessings flow」第一句的簡譜寫法。

1=G，4/4 拍。先休止三拍，第 4 拍唱「Praise」。7、6、5 下方的圓點表示這幾個音低八度。

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised

Scriptures for Singing

English1335
1
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised,
In the city of our God,
In the mountain of His holiness.
Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth,
Is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north,
The city of the great King.
Is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north,
The city of the great King.

I'm so glad to get the lyrics of this song. I enjoyed the song as a kid but never knew the lyrics to well. Psalm 48 led me to search for how to sing this soul refreshing song ..... God is too beautiful and mysterious in His ways. God bless the hands that complied this piece.

Great, I had forgotten the lyrics of this song and came across it here.

Nice work to preserve our old songs.

Too many new songs these days that I can't relate to, the old ones convey the message poignantly.

To me, this sings of the glory of the God of Abtaham, Isaac and Jacob, who with all the ransomed of the Lord, will praise and magnify the Lord God of Hosts in the New Jerusalem. Hallelujah! what a Saviour! John 3 verse 16. - read this verse and pray over it.

Beautiful Scripture set to music!

Correction: the correct wording is "beautiful for situation". This little song is verbatim from Psalm 48:1-2 (KJV), and this is the correct wording from the Scripture.
