跟著唱:do re mi fa sol,再唱回 do。

1=C:do 就是 C。
1=G:同樣的數字,從較高的音開始。

小調:「6=A」

這是詩歌第 8 首「Praise God, from whom all blessings flow」第一句的簡譜寫法。

1=G,4/4 拍。先休止三拍,第 4 拍唱「Praise」。7、6、5 下方的圓點表示這幾個音低八度。

The Lord shall get the glory

Praise of the Lord His Victory and Exaltation

English1095
1
The Lord shall get the glory
If we will sing His praise,
And angel hosts will listen
When we our voices raise;
The world around will hear us
Give glory unto God,
And Satan’s hosts will tremble
And flee our conqu’ring rod.
2
Our mouth shut up defeats us
And wins the Devil’s smile;
So why not open battle
And chase him all the while.
By “sacrifice of praises”
And shouts of victory—
’Twill cost us but our faces
God’s chosen fools to be!
3
The world has never helped us
To shout our Savior’s praise,
Nor given Him the glory
Nor lent one thankful phrase;
So need we ask permission
To praise th’ ascended Lord?
Cry out! Release your spirit!
Much grace He does afford!
4
O brothers, be not silent!
O sisters, cry aloud!
The sound shall tell God’s triumph
And blessings far abroad.
Now is the time to praise Him,
Yes now, at any cost!
O joy in your salvation,
And in His mercy boast.

To God Being the Glory
in the Churchand in Christ
in This Age and for Eternity

We are being strengthened into our inner man according to the riches of God’s glory (v. 16). This glory comes to us with God and, after being worked into us, will return to God with us. By means of this two-way traffic the church, as the firstfruits in the universe (James 1:18), takes the lead to give glory to God. All the other families both in heaven and on earth will follow the church to glorify Him.

God’s glory is wrought into the church, and He is expressed in the church. Hence, to God is the glory in the church; that is, God is glorified in the church. Moreover, God is glorified not only in the church but also in Christ. The word and is used in Ephesians 3:21 to stress this point emphatically. In the church the sphere of God’s glorification is narrow, being limited to the household of the faith, but in Christ the sphere is much broader because Christ is the Head of all the families in the heavens and on earth (1:22; 3:15). Hence, God’s glorification in Christ is in the realm of all the families created by God, not only on earth but also in the heavens. This is in accord with unto all the generations forever and ever, which means for eternity. All the generations forever and ever constitute eternity. God’s glorification in the church is mainly in this age, whereas God’s glorification in Christ is for eternity.

The Lord will get the glory because we will sing His praise; angel hosts will listen when we our voices raise. So we praise the Lord: the world hears us giving glory unto God. Praise the Lord! We have faith in God’s victory…. right now. Amen!
