***詩歌賞析*** 詩歌第40首 敬拜父－祂的救贖
希伯來九章二十三節說，『諸天上之物的樣本，必須用這些祭物去潔淨；但那天上之物的本身，必須用比這些更美的祭物去潔淨。』帳幕和一切相關的物件，都要灑上祭牲的血，纔得潔淨。這是表徵天上之物需要用更美祭物的血潔淨，這更美的祭物就是基督。
新約是用更美的祭物和講說更美之事的血所成立的。基督把自己當作一個祭獻上。這一個祭，從不同的角度看，可視為多種的祭。基督原是活神永遠的兒子，成為肉體，作了人子，並且藉著永遠的靈，將自己獻給神，所以祂這祭物比那些祭牲更美。那些祭牲不過是影兒，永不能除罪；但祂這祭物卻是實際的，並且一次永遠的把罪除掉，因此為我們得到了永遠的救贖。
二十二節說，『沒有流血，就沒有赦罪。』沒有赦罪，就無法滿足神公義的要求，使約無法成立。但基督的血已經流出，使罪得赦；新約也憑祂的血得以立定。希伯來十二章二十四節告訴我們，基督的血『所說的比亞伯的血所說的更美』。基督的血是說話的血，為著赦罪、稱義、和好並救贖，一直向神說話。希伯來書揭示，這寶血為我們向神說話，使新約得以立定。因此，這血稱為永約的血。(唱詩人第八卷第三期，十四頁。)
