Deep and wide

O Lord AMEN! on the Lord's day 10/10/10

(my 15th birthday) we sang this song and came spontaneously up with extra verses, and was so overflowing I had to "post it". I forgot I did until now, and was so happy to see everyone's enjoyment. Hallelujah!!

Deep and wide, deep and wide,
There's a fountain flowing deep and wide.
Deep and wide, deep and wide,
There's a fountain flowing deep and wide.

Take a drink, take a drink,
There's a fountain flowing take a drink.
Take a drink, take a drink,
There's a fountain flowing take a drink.

Jump right in, jump right in,
There's a fountain flowing jump right in.
Jump right in, jump right in,
There's a fountain flowing jump right in.

Sow a seed, sow a seed,
There's a fountain flowing sow a seed.
Sow a seed, sow a seed,
There's a fountain flowing sow a seed.

Help it grow, help it grow,
There's a fountain flowing help it grow.
Help it grow, help it grow,
There's a fountain flowing help it grow.

Take the fruits, take the fruits,
There's a fountain flowing take the fruits.
Take the fruits, take the fruits,
There's a fountain flowing take the fruits.

Three in one, three in one,
There's a fountain flowing three in one.
Three in one, three in one,
There's a fountain flowing three in one.

Ha-lle-lujah, Ha-lle-lujah,
There's a fountain flowing Ha-lle-lujah.
Ha-lle-lujah, Ha-lle-lujah,
There's a fountain flowing Ha-lle-lujah.

Thank you father, thank you farther,
There's a fountain flowing thank you father.
Thank you father, thank you farther,
There's a fountain flowing thank you father.

I love this song!!! We sing this song in children's meeting and the children love it!!! It has so many more rich verses! Next it is "Take a drink", then "Jump right in", then "Splash around", then "For you for me..."! Hallelujah!

The lovely chorus was authored and composed by Rev. Sydney Cox. It is based on Scripture in the Psalms.

Just love this old one...learnt it 45 years ago and taught my kids and now grandchildren are learning it!

I am 67 years old and am trying to learn to play the piano (a lifelong desire) and this has helped me to find the bass notes in "Deep and Wide". Thank you very much.

Hallelujah! Christ is really deep and wide as the fountain of life! And we can enjoy Him all the time!

I love these songs! I learned this song when I was 4 and I loved them. I'm 12 now and I still love them!!!

Amen, I want to drink out of this fountain!

Really, the fountain of the Lord is deep and wide. His riches is immeasurable. AMEN!!!!
