Fill My Cup, Lord

Experience of Christ General

1
Like the woman at the well, I was seeking
For things that could not satisfy.
And then I heard my Savior speaking—
“Draw from My well that never shall run dry.”

Fill my cup, Lord;
I lift it up Lord;
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul.
Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more.
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.
2
There are millions in this world who are seeking
For pleasures earthly goods afford.
But none can match the wondrous treasure
That I find in Jesus Christ my Lord.
3
So my brother if the things that this world gives you
Leave hungers that won’t pass away,
My blessed Lord will come and save you
If you kneel to Him and humbly pray—

I was listening to Lenard Ravenhill today and he quoted some hymns and I've been joyous all day listening to words and music that blesses the repented heart. It's never too late to come to Christ and embrace these old songs. I was so lost and He had His hand on me and by His grace I have been set free. Thank you Lord Jesus for loving me. I love you beyond what words can express. I use to think that you were a myth but wow, you live and breathe in me. Amen.

A sweet lovely prayer, it draws us to God when things of this world try to push us away. God’s ever refreshing kindness, His love for us, His living word always fill us.

This runs deep in my veins. It is so true that in spite of all the earthly things that we strive for, our desires are never truly fulfilled. According to the famous saying, money does not make one happy. Only God almighty can truly satisfy our needs.
