Everybody ought to know; (Everybody ought to know)
Everybody ought to know; (Everybody ought to know)
Everybody ought to know; (Everybody ought to know)
Where Jesus dwells.
[Repeat]

He is dwelling in our spirit;
He is Breath and Life to us;
We are one with Him in spirit.
Everybody ought to know.

Everybody ought to know;
Everybody ought to know;
Everybody ought to know;
The living Christ.
[Repeat]

Christ is the life-giving Spirit;
All God’s fullness He contains;
We partake of all His riches
Just by calling on His Name.

I'm 68 years old and a dear friend called me last night singing this over the phone. It was always a part of our lives as children/teenagers. So glad I know Who Everybody Ought to know! What a blessed reminder!

I sang it for the first time at a college meeting this week. I really enjoyed this hymn even though it's short and simple, it's just so full of the truth! Christ is the life-giving Spirit, that we can be one with Him in spirit and we can partake of Him by calling on His name! Praise the Lord for the speaking in this hymn!
