Jesus Lord, You’re our first love

Experience of Christ Loving Him

Neue Lieder118
1
Jesus Lord, You’re our first love;
You’re the One we love the best.
When our heart is loving You,
How we’re filled with Your sweet rest!
2
Lord, we love You for Yourself,
Not for what You give or do.
Nothing else could e’er compare
With the joy of loving You.

Lord, we’ve been drawn off by many things;
Now we turn our heart back—how it sings!
We repent of loving other things—
Jesus, Lord, You’re our first love.
3
Never more could we desire
Anything that’s less than You,
And to this we would aspire—
Simply to be filled with You.
4
Jesus Lord, You’re our first love;
You’re the One we love the best.
When our heart is loving You,
How we’re filled with Your sweet rest!

Lord we love You for Yourself! Not in what You give or do. Nothing else could ever compare with the joy of loving You! When we are loving You, we are filled with Your sweet rest.

Thank You God for loving me. Thank You Daddy for not leaving me when I left my first love for You. Please help me return to my first love. Help me Daddy please so I can teach transgressors Your way and my sinning brothers and sisters will be converted to You.

This song turns my heart to the Lord Jesus and away from all my troubles, cares and worries. It exalts Christ in my heart and lifts me far above all in this life. It restores my soul for Christ Himself opens the door for me to sup with Him.
