Stand up! stand up for Jesus

Spiritual Warfare Standing Up

English870
1
Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
Ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner,
It must not suffer loss:
From vict’ry unto vict’ry
His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished
And Christ is Lord indeed.

Stand up for Jesus
Ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner,
It must not, it must not suffer loss.
2
Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
The trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conflict
In this His glorious day.
Ye that are men, now serve Him
Against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger.
And strength to strength oppose.
3
Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you;
Ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the Gospel armor,
And, watching unto prayer,
Where duty calls, or danger,
Be never wanting there.
4
Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
The strife will not be long:
This day the noise of battle,
The next the victor’s song;
To him that overcometh
A crown of life shall be;
He, with the King of glory,
Shall reign eternally.

I woke up with this song in my spirit this morning. What a song, so inspiring and ever relevant. The wordings therein we need to obey, bearing in mind that if you stand for JESUS you will not fall. Stay blessed.

Thank you so much for making these old hymns available to the public. God bless you and reward you.

It never ceases to amaze me what God uses these old hymns to do in my life. This particular one I was singing in my sleep 2 days ago. I know that the Lord is assuring me of victory in the midst of foes. All I have to do is pick up my God given weapons and fight to enforce the victory already won for me by Christ Jesus. Glory be to His name! All my enemies are under my feet in Jesus name. Amen! Alleluia!

Jesus is Lord indeed, Who can fight with the Lord, I say nobody. He has given us victory. Let us arise and declare His victory over every force of darkness. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Praise the Lord.
