Lord, to Thy gracious hand, I my being commend

This world is not my home.
The church is home to me;
My life, my all, on her
Spent unreservedly.
This world and its affairs
Are all just vanity;
What’s not spent for the church
Would on these wasted be.

O Lord, Your will
Is just the church to see,
Your kingdom to extend,
With Your authority;
Henceforth, my life, my all,
No more this earth’s shall be;
I shall spend and be spent
For the church utterly.
