O home in the church

The Church As Our Home and Rest

English1233
1
O home in the church,
Where we’ve ended our search
With the brothers rejoicing all day;
Where Christ is our life,
And we’re through with all strife,
Now we’re home, hallelujah, to stay!

Home, home in the church;
Yes, it’s here that we’ve ended our search;
And through all our days
We will shout to His praise,
“Hallelujah for Christ and the church!”
2
Here God is at rest,
Of His treasures the best—
How His heart is rejoicing all day!
His home is our heart,
Ne’er for Satan a part,
Here His glory He’ll fully display.

God’s home is the church;
Yes, it’s here that He ended His search;
And through all our days
We will shout to His praise,
“Hallelujah for Christ and the church!”

My wife and I like hundreds, perhaps thousands of others prayed that the Lord would show us a church like in the book of Acts. After a sequence of interesting events we ended up in the church life, finally feeling at home, and enjoying Christ and the church since 1978. "Hallelujah for Christ and the church!"

Amen to Sister Kathy Beard's portion. Thanks be to you so much for sharing a portion from the life-study of Ruth message 4. We need the watering. Lord Jesus, let the all of the sisters have more genuine experiences of You as Husband with no sorrow added to it. Amen. Lord Jesus, let us truly be done with strife and fully display Your glory in our hearts. Amen.

The church, His delight and my home, no matter where we are, as long as we are with the saints: the church, we are home.
