Über die Zahlennotation

Die Zahlennotation (auch Jianpu oder 简谱 genannt) schreibt jede Melodienote als Zahl von 1 bis 7 statt als Note auf einem Notensystem. Die Zahl zeigt die Stellung der Note in der Tonleiter des Liedes -- nicht ihre genaue Tonhöhe --, sodass dieselbe Melodie unabhängig von der gesungenen Tonart gleich aussieht.

Innerhalb einer Oktave entsprechen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 den bekannten Solmisationssilben Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti. Ein Punkt über einer Zahl hebt sie um eine Oktave an; ein Punkt darunter senkt sie um eine Oktave ab -- ohne Punkt bleibt es bei der mittleren, so geschriebenen Oktave.

Eine einzelne Zahl dauert einen Schlag. Ein Bindestrich (-) direkt nach einer Zahl hält dieselbe Note einen weiteren Schlag lang. Ein Strich unter einer Zahl verkürzt sie dagegen -- ein Strich ist ein halber Schlag, zwei Striche ein viertel Schlag. Eine 0 ist eine Pause: ein Schlag Stille.

Die Angabe oben auf dem Notenblatt, zum Beispiel "1=C" oder "1=Ab", zeigt, auf welcher Tonhöhe die Stufe 1 ("Do") liegt. Ein Lied in Moll trägt stattdessen die Angabe "6=X" -- Stufe 6 ("La") ist dann der eigentliche Grundton. Akkordsymbole über den Noten (wie "C" oder "G7") werden immer mit ihren gewohnten Buchstabennamen geschrieben, nie als Zahlen.

Bei der Angabe "1=C" klingen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 als C D E F G A B. Bei "1=G" klingen dieselben Zahlen dagegen als G A B C D E F# -- gleiche Form, andere Tonart.

Yes and yes!!! I heard someone sing this hymn many years ago, it’s words will always hold true for me. Wherever, whenever and however I feel; no matter the situation JESUS NEVER FAILS. I’m learning to trust, believe and obey. Seeking GOD’S Will through HIS WORD for knowledge and direction. In all my life HE’S never disappointed me.

I first heard this beautiful simple song 65 years ago as a young Christian. It meant so much to me at the time! Some of it has stayed with me over the years. AND THE NAME OF JESUS IS STILL VERY SWEET! Am preaching on “There is no other name given under heaven among men, whereby we must be saved. ” Acts 4:12.

I've always loved singing this song. The name of Jesus is so powerful! There are days when I am so down in my spirit and when I say the name of Jesus I get this comfort I cannot explain. I am so glad for the gift of salvation and blessed that I can call upon the name of my friend and saviour, Jesus Christ.

It commands demonsto flee, it brings Redemption to lost souls, it heals diseases, give life to the dead, make the lame to walk.
