Trust and obey

Experience of Christ Obeying Him

English582
1
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
2
Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
3
Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
4
But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
5
Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do;
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.

This is the second day in a row when I wake up and this song is in my heart. I decided to google it and pray through it. I believe God is telling me to trust and obey Him more than ever. I am so blessed.

Just this moment I woke up to pray this song whispered in my mind.. Trust and Obey.. many thoughts begins to run in my mind.

Is a process
Is a command
Is a choice
Can I trust God in his process even when I see no results ?
Çan I be found worthy when it’s the time ?
Oh GOD HELP MY unbelief
Show me MERCY

As I was praying this morning, God brought this chorus to my mind. I couldn’t remember all the words so I looked it up. I sang this song in church as a child and God brings these words to me so very often. Trust and obey him. There is no other way. Thank you so much for posting this and the blessings of the comments that have been listed.

Blessings upon Blessings!!!

Since May 2024, the Lord has given me, countless times, this Hymn. Trust is pivotal in our relationship with the Lord.

A few minutes ago after praying about the work of God and the mandate to rest in Christ, the Work of God and our Sabbath, I heard this Hymn in my spirit.

Hebrews 4:1& 3 "1 Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. ”3.... And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world."

Isaiah 25:1"LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago."

2 Kings 19:25 “ ‘Have you not heard? Long ago I ordained it. In days of old I planned it; now I have brought it to pass, that you have turned fortified cities into piles of stone."

In Christ Jesus, let us rest and trust Him; we are His Work: Ephesians 2:10.
