Trust and obey

Experience of Christ Obeying Him

English582
1
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
2
Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
3
Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
4
But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
5
Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do;
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.

This song came to me when I heard that that is war against Ukraine and Russia because we need to trust in Lord and obey the Lord

Today I have finally realized the meaning of this song in its entirety. If you want that sweet fellowship with Jesus all the time full of His blessings immeasurable, just stay with Him and don't wander and do what He says to do in His Word, and don't do what He says not to do. Trust Him not only in your comfort but also in the storms of life and you will be happy in Jesus indeed! Have you wandered away? Come back! and Trust and Obey.

“When you walk with the Lord in the light of His word…” This song came to me now as I was reading Isaiah 50:11. “Behold, all ye that kindle a fire…walk in the light of your fire…ye shall lie down in sorrow. ” Too often I try to walk in the light of my own strength and abilities (the flesh) to no avail. I need only to be the vessel through which His light shines!!

Thankful for this song and reminder.

Looking at the state of the world and reflecting too much on it can drain our walk in Gods peace away, by dwelling on the wrong things. We need to drop all needless and restless reflections. And just trust and obey.
