I serve a risen Savior

I'm serving the piano now and the first song that comes up is this! I enjoy this song very much and sing it with my friends sometimes.

I grew singing this hymn in Riverview Baptist, Ft Dodge IA. My mom was the pianist. Last couple of days this song has been going thru my head & decided to look the lyrics up. PTL I found this site.

Mom passed on last month. When I played the piano music, the tears welled up. I flashbacked and envisioned Mom playing again. How much she must be enjoying playing for our Risen Saviour.

He woke me with this blessed song the other morning. Truly, I do know how powerfully indeed He does live today as ever before. He'll draw nigh an show you His vastness if with your whole heart, soul and mind, you will draw nigh unto Him!! If I could run, I'd be runinnig with Him in the lead and He does lead you know. His glorious presence fills my soul, come what may, it is He Who blesses every day!! 🎶🎶He lives!!🎶🎶He lives!!🎶🎶. We as His have reason to rejoice, come what may!! Hope to see Him, yes, one fine day!! Could it be today? Could it be years from now?? We never can know. I can't praise Him enough for looking my way. I moved back and forth to' one day, His unconditional love help me to settle it with Him!! Now, whatever time holds, He IS MY ALL IN ALL!! He'll take you as far and deep as you let Him, He'll walk you through fires you never knew could be but always allow you to know, He Lives! Thanking my God for sending His Son Jesus on our behalf. He's risen! He lives🎶!

This is the song that we regularly sang during our Nurses' Christian Fellowship at the Nurses' Home, Queen Elizabeth Hospital in North Borneo Sabah

This hymm goes so far back. We always sang it at the top of our lungs. I'm 55 and on this Easter morning this is what God put in my mind so I sang it proud and loud. God bless these hymns.

So God can show us new levels of living in Him and He in us! Woke up at 3am for no reason I know of, so I bowed down to pray. When I went back to lay down He flooded my mind with this old hymn. I love it and I love our Risen Savior, He Lives! Blessings Brothers and Sisters!

This song takes me back to my childhood growing in a very small town and attending a Methodist Church that used the Cokesbury Worhip Hymnal. My father had a beautiful baritone voice and did many solos and led the singing at the church and at revivals in the area. This song in particular touches my heart so much that I can hardly hear it without tears of joy in my heart!!
