To God be the glory, great things He hath done

Worship of the Father His Redemption

English39
1
To God be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life our redemption to win,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.
2
Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
3
Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see.

The Holy Spirit brought this hymn to my mind tonight, I haven’t heard it in years. I sang this after my husband and I had our Bible reading at bedtime. My heart was so overjoyed praising the Lord!

This song was in my mind when I woke this morning and I sang to give glory to God, joining with all of you all over the world to sing praises to God together. Praises to our father, the son and to Holy Spirit. May today be the day our spirits are strengthened remembering we are being built together into a dwelling Palace for God by the spirit. His kingdom come. ‼️. Amen.
