It is safely moored, ’twill the storm withstand, For ’tis well secured by the Savior’s hand; And the cables passed from His heart to mine, Can defy the blast, through strength divine.

It will firmly hold in the straits of fear, When the breakers have told the reef is near; Though the tempest rave and the wild winds blow, Not an angry wave shall our bark o’erflow.

This is true. Though I passed through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
The word used for "anchor" is only used once in the AV/KJV version of the Bible, and it refers to the eternal security provided by our Savior, the first MAN in Heaven. THAT is the veil through which He passed, and there He Himself has anchored the very hope of our souls. What a blessed security, and reassuring hope in the terrible storms of life. "We have an anchor, that keeps the souls...!"
There are different anchors like money, fame, wealth, bank account etc. these all will fail but we have an anchor that keeps the soul, steadfast and sure while the billows roll, fastened to the rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the saviour's love.
