I stand amazed in the presence

Assurance and Joy of Salvation Loved by the Lord

English290
1
I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me,
A sinner condemned, unclean.

How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!
2
For me it was in the garden,
He prayed: “Not my will, but Thine.”
He had no tears for His own griefs,
But sweat-drops of blood for mine.
3
In pity angels beheld Him,
And came from the world of light
To strengthen Him in the sorrows
He bore for my soul that night.
4
He took my sins and my sorrows,
He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calv’ry,
And suffered, and died alone.
5
When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
’Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

How marvelous! How wonderful! Is my Savior’s love for me! God, you are the king! Jesus you have done it! It is finished! All power and glory are yours! You are God! You are Messiah! You are King Jesus! Hallelujah what a savior! Who earned all of my salvation for me on the cross! Who took on the devil and hell for me! Who took on the world for me! Who broke the bonds of my flesh for me! Who could do these things besides you Jesus!? No one, and it is you who have done them! How marvelous! How wonderful! And my song shall ever be! Praise Jesus! Praise the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! Hallelujah what a savior!

I woke up this morning with this hymn on my mind and tongue. As many others have testified here, I hadn’t thought of this song for years. I am nearly 70 years old and received a liver transplant almost two years ago. I am now healthy, but I feel that God recalls these old hymns to us to prepare us to be with Jesus and “to sing of his love for me. ”

Just had to say something from Australia. I found myself singing this old hymn I haven't sung since a child. It now has tremendous meaning. How great is God's love for us. My heart is overflowing with love and joy to our wonderful Saviour.
