Come into my heart, O Lord Jesus

Gospel Crying to the Lord

English1061
1
Come into my heart, O Lord Jesus,
Come into my heart, I pray;
My soul is so troubled and weary,
Come into my heart, today.

Into my heart, into my heart,
Come into my heart, Lord Jesus;
Come in today, come in to stay,
Come into my heart, Lord Jesus.
2
Come into my heart, O Lord Jesus,
I need Thee through life’s dreary way;
The burden of sin is so heavy,
Come into my heart to stay.
3
Come into my heart, O Lord Jesus,
Now cleanse and illumine my soul;
Fill me with Thy wonderful Spirit,
Come in and take full control.

Amen amen

Make your home Lord Jesus in my heart in my spirit - spread into my heart my innermost being

Come into my heart Lord Jesus
Keep turning
Come into my heart, O Lord Jesus,
Come into my heart, I pray;
My soul is so troubled and weary,
Come into my heart, today.

Into my heart, into my heart,
Come into my heart, Lord Jesus;
Come in today, come in to stay,
Come into my heart, Lord Jesus.

Through regeneration Christ came into our spirit (2 Tim. 4:22). After this, we should allow Him to spread into every part of our heart. Since our heart is the totality of all our inward parts and the center of our inward being, when Christ makes His home in our heart, He controls our entire inward being and supplies and strengthens every inward part with Himself. - Eph 3:17, fn. 1, heart

Come into our heart, O Lord Jesus! Come in and take full control.

In prayer this morning Jesus brought back to mind this simple and beautiful prayer for my salvation I prayed when I was six years old. I’m now 65 and in tears, weeping with gratitude and thankful for all the years of His goodness and grace and love that has transformed my life. It’s been a long journey, but worth it! Praise to you Lord Christ! Amen

I’m so troubled today thinking of our family problem. I need Jesus… and I remembered this songs’ chorus that my mom used to sing to me when I was still small. Thank you for posting.
