There is a fountain filled with blood

Gospel The Blood

English1006
1
There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel’s veins;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains:
Lose all their guilty stains,
Lose all their guilty stains;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.
2
The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away:
Wash all my sins away,
Wash all my sins away;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away.
3
Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its power,
Till all the ransomed ones of God
Be saved, to sin no more:
Be saved, to sin no more,
Be saved, to sin no more;
Till all the ransomed ones of God,
Be saved to sin no more.
4
E’er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die:
And shall be till I die,
And shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.
5
When this poor lisping, stammering tongue
Lies silent in the grave,
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing Thy power to save:
I’ll sing Thy power to save,
I’ll sing Thy power to save;
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing Thy power to save.

A very powerful and encouraging song. It has helped me in moments when I was feeling so bad from my sin.

The message is, be saved, and SIN NO MORE.

Many professing believers will say that you cannot live free from sin, but God's word says, whosoever is born of God doth not sin and whosoever sins is of the devil.

I had rather trust God than others.

Glorious hymn! Clayton, I appreciate your comment, and they have the lyrics here, and I love the Soul Stirring Songs and Hymns, too, and Majesty hymns... I was just wondering if that is why they put "ones" here, instead of church, cuz we know that the church of God is only redeemed individual believers who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, but there is a false religion that asks people to return to the Old Testament, that thinks it is the "Church"... It is another gospel, that is not the true Gospel, as we know our Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of God's Son, Jesus, and points only at Jesus for salvation, and eternal life!! God dwells not in temples made with hands, but in the hearts of believers who have placed their complete faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and those are the ones that will lose their flesh on the way up to Glory, when they die, or when Jesus calls us back, whichever comes first
