My hope is built on nothing less

1
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
  All other ground is sinking sand.
2
When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
3
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
4
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

Oh how good and pleasant it is!

Reading the comments from my brothers and sisters in Christ, whom I’ve yet to meet, about their love of our Saviour and this song is unifying, uplifting and powerful.

Thank you all for your testimony of our Great Hope, Jesus Christ our Lord. ALL other ground is sinking sand!

Ps 18:18 "They prevented (confronted) me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my stay"

His oath, His covenant and blood,

Support me in the whelming flood

When all around my soul gives way

He then is all my hope and stay

Just came out from my final MBBS exams on community health with so much fear and depression. Then the Holy Spirit brought this song to my heart. I got the complete lyrics here and sang it deeply. Am so lifted right now. Indeed, when you sing hymns, you pray twice. Thank You Jesus for not letting me sink.

In my quiet time this morning, I'm reading of God's grace and unmerited favor. My spirit began trying to sing this song but I struggled with finding the words because it's been a while since I sang it. I looked it up here and then as I sang the lyrics, my spirit SOARED! It's like a super shot of condensed Scripture! Hallelujah!

"When darknes veils His lovely face I rest on His unchanging GRACE. ; In evry high and stormy gale, My Anchor holds within the vale

I cherish this verse for it’s because of Jesus unhanging grace why I am alive this morning. I went through a turbulent night because of a nerve pain in my neck. But I place my hope on the Solid Rock to navigate me throughout the night, and He did. The Holy Spirit brings the song to my heart.

I am thankful for this song to inspire me to keep trusting in Jesus Christ my Solid Rock. Amen!

These are songs deeply inspired by the Holy Spirit. I commend these men for availing themselves to be used by the Holy Spirit; and it’s powerful.
