I like this song because it reminds me how God became man, all the processes He passed through. It also reminds me that God so love the world and He gave the only begotten Son through whom He purposed the mass delivery. It also reminds me how exceedingly great the mercy of the Lord is, that He chose me long before the world began in Christ Jesus. He raised me together with Christ even while I was at enmity with Him. O what a mercy! Hallelujah!

The first time I sang this song, I was near to tears. I was touched especially with the lines "Nothing could change me but love and mercy, Your love, dear Lord, has conquered me". The Lord really loves me so much that He died in my place. Even though I cursed Him and hated Him, He waited and prayed for me all along.
