Will you be an overcomer?
  Christ is calling now!
Will you then be such a follower,
  Though you know not how?

Will you be an overcomer?
  Will you make this choice?
Christ is calling, Christ is calling,
    Listen to His voice!
2
Will you be an overcomer?
  To the Lord be drawn!
Keep the “first love,” never leave it,
  Till the break of dawn.
3
Will you be an overcomer?
  On His life depend!
Dare to suffer persecution,
  Faithful to the end.
4
Will you be an overcomer?
  Testimony bear!
Keep away from false religion,
  “Hidden manna” share.
5
Will you be an overcomer,
  Simple, real, and pure?
Overcome all evil mixture,
  Ruling pow’r secure.
6
Will you be an overcomer?
  Trust the living Lord!
Keep your “garments” from the deadness,
  Win the life-reward.
7
Will you be an overcomer?
  Never lukewarm be,
Ne’er content with what you’ve gotten,
  More you need to see.
8
Will you be an overcomer?
  Christ is calling still!
Will you now be loyal to Him,
  His demand fulfill.

Lord Jesus, we want to live an overcoming life on the line of life today, being those who fulfill the economy of God!

Christ is calling, Listen to His voice!

God is faithful, through whom we were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Cor. 1:9). Praise the Lord 😀

In this song, there are so many questions...

Will you be an overcomer?

Will you then be such a follower, though you may know not how?

Will you make this choice to be drawn to the Lord?

Keep the “first love, ” never leave it?

Will you depend on His life?

Dare to suffer persecution?

Be faithful to the end?

Bear His testimony?

Keep away from false religion?

Share the "hidden manna"?

Overcome all evil mixture?

Ruling pow’r secure?

Trust the living Lord?

Keep your “garments” from the deadness?

Win the life-reward?

Never lukewarm be?

Ne’er content with what you’ve gotten?

More you need to see?

Will you now be loyal to Him?

His demand fulfill?

My answer to all these questions is.... YES

This hymn is a strong exhortation to heed the Spirit's speaking to the churches in Revelation 2:7:

"To him who overcomes, to him I will give to eat of the Tree of Life which is in the Paradise of God." We must overcome the degradation of the churches by eating the Tree of Life, that is to live in the mingled Spirit moment by moment.

May all saints who sing this vital hymn will re-consecrate themselves to the Lord. Only by being an overcomer, which Christ was the first, will one be living in the reality of a God-man, which Christ was the first and still is and will be, Hallelujah!!!

"I will be an overcomer, I will make this choice, Christ is calling Christ is calling, I will make this choice!"
